How To Prime Your Filtering Systems

There are two sides to the system. There is a suction side and a pressure side or return line. The suction side is connected to the hair and lint trap/pump/and motor. Connect the 4’ hose to the hair and lint trap and then to the bottom of the skimmer connection, which you will have already installed. There are barbed connections on the skimmer and the hair and lint trap. Connect this 4’ hose using C-Clamps.

Next you will go to the return side and install the 6’ hose to the thru-wall fitting using C-Clamps. Put water hose in skimmer and let water flow out return line. Turn on pump and pull out water hose. The pump is now pressurized. Turn air relief valve to left to bleed off any remaining air in the system. This takes about four seconds. Turn to the right to close. That’s it!!!

Use plug screw caps when cleaning cartridge to prevent water from coming out of the pool.
